How Forge works

One loop, two sides, and the same entry point for both: you join the community and start by testing other people's work. Nothing costs money, and Forge does not sell promotion, testing or priority.

If you built something

  1. 01

    Join and take part

You do not arrive and submit. You join the community and test other people's work first.

  2. 02

    Earn standing

Reviewer 4 on the contribution ladder, Champion on the chat ladder. Or the weekly contest, which asks for neither.

  3. 03

    Become eligible

The submission route opens. Six of the seven weekly slots come this way.

  4. 04

    Submit

Something that runs. Forge Works checks intake, nobody judges whether the idea deserves to exist.

  5. 05

    Testing

A bug-only pass first, then the community signs up and actually uses it. Not a poll, real use.

  6. 06

    Feedback and improve

Structured, private to you, and a digest at the end of the week cut down to what to fix first.

If you want to help build

  1. 01

    Discover

Open the week's projects. Pick what interests you, no assignments.

  2. 02

    Test

Sign up, use it, hit the edges. The first 24 hours pay the most EXP.

  3. 03

    Report

Feedback and bugs, structured. Critical bugs 150, major 75, minor 25. First finder only.

  4. 04

    Rank up

EXP climbs the ladder: Reviewer 1 to 6, then TRUE FORGER. Being around climbs the other one.

  5. 05

    Unlock

Reviewer 4, or two Reviewer 3s on a team, opens the submission route. The loop closes.

Three rules that make it work

Feedback is private

Only the project owner reads it. Thirty independent opinions beat one opinion repeated thirty times.

Speed pays

Full marks in the first 24 hours, sliding down after. A week later the quality mark closes. Feedback that arrives too late to matter earns least.

The contest needs nothing

One of the seven weekly slots is a contest pick with no rank requirement at all. Submissions are private: only staff see who entered.
